LIHI-Kalibo sets record: Registers 100% in NC II Assessments
Lifeline International Health Institute (LIHI) - Kalibo Branch ended the year 2008 and welcomed 2009 with a bang as it went on to register two consecutive 100% passing rates in the recently concluded National Assessment for Caregiving NC II held last December 27-30, 2008 and January 12-14, 2009, respectively, at 3/F Torres-Oliva Bldg., Roxas Avenue Extension, Kalibo, Aklan.
A total of 50 on-going trainees and alumni enlisted for the two assessment periods, where they were tested for the knowledge and skills they have acquired during their six-month training in the institution.
Moreover, eight members of the faculty of instruction of LIHI-Kalibo also underwent the assessment to comply, in part, with the mandate of Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) for all technical-vocational instructors to be Trainor's Qualification (TQ) / Assessor's Qualification (AQ) certified by the end of the first quarter of this year.

"The progress by which TESDA assessment and trainings are moving in Kalibo is encouraging. I hope all Lifeliners will do very well in the exams and trainings," said Dr. Christine Pearl L. Daquiado, LIHI Chief Executive Officer (CEO), in an e-mail sent to the LIHI-Kalibo faculty and staff.
The conduct of competency assessment seeks to confirm a technical-vocational graduate's aptitude to perform according to standards expected in the workplace based on relevant competency standards. Those who are deemed competent are entitled to receive a National Certificate (NC) with corresponding levels i.e., level II. #
